Yep - that's today in beautiful Vegas. You should have heard MK complaining about this one ! HA ! He's had to go pick up buddies from McCarran that were flying out today, because, and I quote the McCarran website : "Winter snowfall is extremely rare in Southern Nevada and McCarran International does not possess snow removal equipment. However, the airport’s runways have not accumulated enough
snowfall to require snow removal. Again, the current delays are the result of poor visibility."
But on the airport website - delayed delayed cancelled delayed cancelled... that's all you see on the reader board.
MK also has stopped to help people out of ditches - including a large 4 wheel drive Dodge. To which MK said, ma, you think he bought it because it was shiny? HA ! Who raised him ??
So now... we'll wait for our snow in Belltown, and hope that I can make it into work in the morning.
Moving on - I've decided that my body doesn't do well pounding 7 miles of frozen pavement in 2 days. I am SORE. I was actually doing compression sock research last night. They are geeky... but if it keeps the shin splint in check then I'll be good.
I'm gonna try what Ol Batt says and go ride the stationary bike for a bit... that might help... gee.. if I had a trainer I could bring Rob's bike up into the condo from it's lonely neglected spot in the bike room and ride in front of the TV... just a thought... hhhmmmm time to check out craigslist....
