Saturday Jan 10 - it's a good day :)

I love that shirt.. it's pretty freakin' funny.  www.pearlizumi.com  They've got some great running accessories and I've heard good things about their shoes,  but they are hard to find.

Check out www.runningcharts.com    it's an easy way to input your runs,  watch  your shoe mileage and get a good weekly gauge of how you're doing.  Be honest now :)

A few people have emailed me their training regimens.   I think most are stellar :) some are a bit ambitious, but go big or go home right ?  Remember you're talkin to the girl who thought her first real race should be a half marathon in Las Vegas and her first triathlon should be an Olympic distance.  That being said,  a big reason people don't stick to 'new years resolutions' (ew... I seriously dislike those three words) is due to getting discouraged.  If you've set an ambitious training plan... AWESOME !   My advice... know that it's ok to change it up,  that it's OK if you have to skip a day,  and that it's OK to have an 'off' day.  I change things up all the time... today, I was supposed to do an easy 2 mile run at a 12:47 pace (don't chuckle too hard there JC),  and instead,  I felt good so I did a 5k (3.1 miles) at a 10:45 pace.  And I felt good....   tomorrow is supposed to be a cross training day,  but my workout buddy is you know... working (hehehehe) .... so instead,  I'll ride the bike for 45 minutes.

Speaking of the bike... apparently,  it's not bicycle fanatic politically correct, to wrap my pink striped beach towel around the not so comfortable seat.  Hmmm.. apparently that can be offensive to the aficionados.  Interesting...   needless to say tomorrow will be a quest for bike shorts.  Ouch.

OK ???  any questions ?? sheesh.. . quit reading this... get of the computer... go for a run or go lift some weights for god's sake...

he he - hope you found some bike shorts. :) They really will be more comfy than the towel. My favorites are Zoot tri shorts... less bulky so you could even run in them (and swim). You know...when you start your bricks. :) I like to say that - makes me sound like I know what I'm talking about... I only know a little. :)
