And I'm frustrated.. yep... frustrated... the weight that I had to use was not at all what I used to be at. Oh well, I'll get up there - but a good note, I did get in all 3 sets of everything with decent reps. I'm happy with that
- plie squats smith rack
- leg press
- reverse lunges on the bosu ball using the smith rack
- standing dead lift
- standing calf raises using the smith rack - and no, not 'to failure'.. i learned that lesson last summer
- one legged squats using the bench
- leg curl machine (my hammys hate me... i know this already)
- stairs two at a time from the parking garage to our floor !! wooo hoooo
Breakfast was a lovely chocolate Pria bar (110 calories - 5 grams o' protein) and a banana on the way home :) Beautiful
Tomorrow, the 5th, is the start of my 14 week half marthon training. It's an easy 2 mile run tomorrow.

- Friday - eliptical / bike / stairs ... haven't decided yet - probably the bike on the TRAINER !! how cool would that be ??

- Sunday - rest

I'm a huge fan of personal trainers, and it's hard for me to not have one. I love them. I'm also a giant fan of Jillian Michaels, and she does have an online site, and while I don't usually like online stuff... I might end up utilizing it for triathlon training... anyway.... check out what Ms. Michaels has to say about my food intake:
| Because you crave salty foods, cheeses, and meats, you may be a fast oxidizer. This is the fancy term for your metabolic rate. It simply means that you burn through the nutrients in your food rapidly and that you therefore produce energy instantly. If the energy is not used immediately, it is stored as fat. Carbs only speed your oxidation and energy production further. So to best serve your metabolism and feel energized both physically and mentally, you require foods with higher percentages of proteins and fats. Make sure that there is protein in everything you eat, including snacks. Your ideal meals and snacks should break down to a ratio of 20% carbs, 50% protein, and 30% fat Interesting stuff ! jan 5th - 2009 ... BACK AT IT LADIES !! here's to a great start to a great year xoxoxox |
